Mid Autumn Festival (“中秋节”) falls on 10 September, Saturday this year. Traditionally, it falls on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. Almost like a Chinese-version of Thanksgiving, there are many traditions to how people around the world celebrate this occasion.

As years go by, people mainly celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival as a time for family reunions. It is shared that the moon on this day is the brightest and roundest, representing family reunion.
