In accordance with the Chinese funeral rituals and adherence to the relationship that defined Chinese tradition that recognises and prioritises the “virtues of filial piety”, together with the inclusive religious cogitation of Buddhism, we provide the following worship and prayers services:

For within a Year of the Newly Departed:

From the moment the ancestor passes away, funeral prayers and rituals follow in the way of Chinese traditions. We had researched in depth, especially in the modern Singapore society today, in eliminating unfavourable elements while preserving a traditional virtue that is in pace with the ever changing modern concepts to provide a full range of funeral prayers and services:

  • For the spirit of the departed: Settling the spirit, paying respects and offerings, ending of mourning period
  • 拾金 “Shi Jin” (Bone Picking, the relocation of remains)
  • Urn: Changing / Interment of Urn
  • Settling in to the ancestral tablet
  • 安灵 “An Ling”
  • Anniversaries & Important days: 100-day, 对年, 3rd Year

For Subsequent Prayers:

In addition to funeral prayers for the newly departed, Chinese families also pay respects to ancestors during various Chinese festivals, birth anniversary and death anniversary.
We provide subsequent worship and prayer services including Chinese New Year (农历新年), Qing Ming Festival (清明节), Lunar 7th Month (中元节), Lantern Festival (元宵节), Dragon Boat Festival (端午节), Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节) and Winter Solstice (冬至).

For Offerings or Prayers to Avert Misfortunes and Sufferings:

  • To pray for longevity and prosperity
  • Candle-lighting Blessing Ceremony
  • To transcend the infant spirits
  • Resolving of Karma debtors
